We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death…

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 1 John 3:14, 16-17

They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. John 17:16

Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD.'” Jeremiah 17:5

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42

‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” Matthew 4:4
