Christ alone has gained us access to the grace of God. There is nothing we can add to what He already did. But there are postures of the heart and standards of lifestyle we can implement that facilitate the outpouring of the energy of God into our lives and homes. This episode is the first of two in this series that look at Biblical standards for accessing the grace of God.
Verses Covered in this episode for Accessing the Grace of God
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:5-7 (NKJV)
For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:4-10 (HCSB)
Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard. Proverbs 13:15 (NKJV)
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
