We’ve covered a lot of the big and famous events in the story of King David’s life. If we were to track down the one thing that made David more important than so many others in scripture, it would be this story. This is the story of the Tabernacle of David. This is the story that got David’s name written on the walls of eternity.
In this episode we cover the story of the Ark of the Covenant, David’s covenant with God, and the backstory of the Tabernacle of David. One of my all time favorite movies Raiders of the Lost Ark has this famous scene in it. In this episode I tell the real life story from the book of 2 Samuel that the Raiders writers based this scene on.

- For those interested in learning more about the Tabernacle of David I should warn you there is a lot of strange stuff on the world wide web. The Tabernacle of David is not a physical structure that will be rebuilt in Israel during the end times. That is weirdness. It is also not merely a focus on worship. That is part of it but definitely not the whole of it. The best and most eye opening teaching I ever heard on this topic came from the Steve Schultz the leader at my church Transformation Center.
