If you have done any amount of Bible study or training, you probably came across the term “the centrality of Christ.” This is a dominant theme in the book of Ephesians, but unfortunately, it is often stripped of its significance when we convert Christ into a mere intellectual concept or historical figure. While neither of those is wrong, in and of themselves, that is not the Christ (or Christos) that Ephesians talks about and focuses upon when we learn about the centrality of Christ. Christ is the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, the be-all and the end-all of the Christian walk and faith.

 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
